In an economy where customer service is no longer a priority at most companies, my experience with Table Pads was an extraordinary occurrence -- everyone was pleasant, knowledgeable (now there's a novel experience) and very efficient. My wife and I recently purchased your table pads for our beautiful "cherry wood" dining room table and chair set. Our children presented the table as an anniversary present to us. We could barely wait to show off the set to our extended family coming for Thanksgiving. We all sat down and enjoyed the day which was not without the usual spills, hot items and occasional dropped plates. Needless to say after clearing the table and closing it up to every day length, we were pleasantly surprised to see the table remained untouched, coming through the day without a scratch. My wife and I had made the mistake of never getting a table pad for our first table and what a beating that one took. After selling that one with dents, scratches, and stains we bought a new table. I still remember, as a new bride in 1953, having dinner around my mother-in-law's dining room table. She was the only one I knew at the time who had tablepads under her lace tablecloth. A recent article in our newspaper about your company brought back found memories of my mother-in-law, Stella, and the sumptous meals she served her husband, four adult children and their spouses. I don't know how she did it. They were like feasts every Sunday; two kinds of meats, veggies, salads, and her homemade pies. Everything on the table precisely timed to be hot when we sat down. I can still visualize that table and those meals. She was my idol when it came to cooking and I am still trying to live up to her standards. I received my table pad this afternoon. I was quite concerned at first that it wasn't going to fit, but I had it sideways! It fits perfectly -- even the cut-out corners are perfect. We ordered a custom table pad for our new dining room table, less than 3 weeks before our annual neighbourhood Halloween party. The table had been custom made for our dining room and was not a standard size. I really did not believe that tablepads.com could fill our order in such a short time.
